GED Prep Class

Mon, Tues, Wed. 6:30-8pm

Drop-ins Welcome

Online

This class prepares students to earn a Graduate Equivalency Degree or a General Education Diploma (GED). GEDs are sometimes required as a first step to a career or further education, and can be helpful for those without a U.S. High School diploma, or with a degree earned elsewhere that isn't recognized in the U.S.

Preparing for the GED exams on your own is tough. By enrolling in this GED Prep Class, you'll have tutors to help you study and classmates to connect with, which will lead to more success. Your goal of passing the GED is in reach - our classes will help you meet that goal at a pace you set for yourself. We will meet you wherever you are at in your journey to obtaining your GED.

All of our GED classes are online during this year.  The classes meet Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8 pm.  Mondays are focused on reading and writing for the GED, or the Reasoning Through Language Arts section.  Tuesdays are focused on Math, or the Mathematical Reasoning section of the GED. Wednesdays are focused on the Science and Social Studies sections of the GED.

These classes will help prepare you to take the practice test for the GED,  take the actual GED, or prepare you to enroll in SCC’s GED class for further study. Tutors provide you with resources to study for the GED.  For more information, check out www.ged.com.
